Where We Stand

This year, we were not able to secure a deal that would allow us to call our farming spot our land, leaving us with only a few scattered small grow spots in Germany and Portugal.

It was a tough lesson, but one that pushed us forward. Next time, we’ll make sure everything is secured properly on paper, so we can grow with confidence and finally start applying the permaculture design and techniques we’ve been studying over the past years, and start feeding mother nature.

Planting the Next Chapter

We’re using the profits from our sauces, seeds, and spices to secure a contracted piece of land here in Berlin for next year, a place we can finally call our farm. We want this farm to be more than just ours, a place where people can visit, learn, and connect with nature.

On this land, we’ll take what we’ve been practising in our smaller grows and expand it to a larger scale, making sure nature is fed just as much as we are.

Where the Journey Meets the Destination

This milestone isn’t the end, just a step forward. With the funds we earn and the knowledge we gather, our goal is to secure a permanent piece of land in Portugal, proudly named Chico’s Farm, in memory of the uncle who set us on this path.

There, we’ll work with nature to restore the land, bring back biodiversity, and face key challenges like fires and droughts through permaculture design. Alongside this, we’ll grow sustainable ventures, sauces, seeds, produce, agro-tourism, and eventually create a place where anyone can learn and connect with nature.
