These 15 Chocolate Carolina Reaper chili seeds come from our plants in Berlin, producing extremely hot pods with earthy, fruity flavour and heavy yields.

Origin & Breeding 
The Chocolate Carolina Reaper is an unofficial brown-podded variant of the original Carolina Reaper. Likely developed by independent growers through selection or crossing with other chocolate superhots, it features dark, wrinkled pods and retains the legendary heat of its red parent. While not fully stabilized, it offers a striking appearance and deeper flavor tones.

Germination & Growing

  • Start indoors (Nov–Jan) in nursery trays or 5×5×5 cm pots.

  • Use light, well-draining seed-starting soil.

  • Soil temp: 26–30 °C, Air temp: 22–28 °C, Humidity: >60%.

  • Use a humidity dome + heating mat.

  • Provide 12–16 hours of light daily.

  • Add airflow with a fan after germination.

Flavour Profile & Heat
Fruity with bitter cocoa undertones. Averages over 1,600,000 SHU, up to 2,200,000 SHU.

Note: These seeds were open-pollinated in proximity to superhot pepper varieties, which may result in slightly smaller pod sizes and variations in heat levels. Flavour and productivity remain excellent, but some variation may occur in plant traits.
