Sugar Rush Stripey - 15 seeds

Origin and breeding

The Sugar Rush Stripey is a visually stunning Capsicum baccatum variety, developed through selective breeding from a natural mutation of Sugar Rush Peach. It was stabilized by dedicated growers to preserve its vibrant striped appearance, featuring red, orange, and peach streaks. This variety is grown not only for its flavor, but also for its ornamental beauty and high yield.

Growing in our Berlin setup

• We start these indoors from January to February in Berlin, using grow lights and a heating mat. Adjust the timing to your climate and setup. We use nursery trays or 5×5×5 cm pots.
• Use light, well-draining seed-starting soil.
• Soil temp: 26 to 30 °C, Air temp: 20 to 26 °C, Humidity: >60%.
• Use a humidity dome + heating mat.
• Provide 12 to 14 hours of light daily.
• Add airflow with a fan after germination.

Flavour and heat

Very sweet and aromatic, with a crisp texture and a chilli kick. Try them fresh, fermented or in a sweet-hot sauce.

Estimated heat: 50,000 to 100,000 SHU.

Our peppers haven’t been lab-tested for Scoville heat.

We grow each variety ourselves before offering the seeds, and save seeds from peppers that best match the variety. Our plants are open-pollinated, so you may still see some variation in the peppers you grow.
