These 15 Sugar Rush Stripey chili seeds come from our own striped plants in Berlin, producing extremely sweet pods with the classic orange-red stripey pattern.

Origin & Breeding
The Sugar Rush Stripey is a visually stunning Capsicum baccatum variety, developed through selective breeding from a natural mutation of Sugar Rush Peach. It was stabilized by dedicated growers to preserve its vibrant striped appearance, featuring red, orange, and peach streaks. This variety is grown not only for its flavor, but also for its ornamental beauty and high yield.

• Germination & Growing

  • Start indoors  (Jan–Feb) in nursery trays or 5×5×5 cm pots.

  • Use light, well-draining seed-starting soil.

  • Soil temp: 26–30 °C, Air temp: 20–26 °C, Humidity: >60%.

  • Use a humidity dome + heating mat.

  • Provide 12–14 hours of light daily.

  • Add airflow with a fan after germination.

Flavour Profile & Heat
This variety delivers a very sweet, fruity, and aromatic flavor, with a mild to medium heat. Scoville ratings typically range between 50,000 and 100,000 SHU, making it perfect for fresh eating, fermenting, and sweet-hot sauces. Its crisp texture and tropical aroma make it a favorite among baccatum lovers.

Note: These seeds were open-pollinated in proximity to superhot pepper varieties, which may result in slightly smaller pod sizes and variations in heat levels. Flavour and productivity remain excellent, but some variation may occur in plant traits.
